UK Catholic & Christian Wedding Photographer

The Mass. The vows. The exchange of rings. The moment the doors open and your life changes.

These are the photographs that matter most and the ones I'm built to capture.

Hey! It’s Joachim

I’m a wedding photographer based in Cheshire, shooting weddings all across the UK

I photograph church weddings. It's where I feel most at home. In the low light within the church, documenting two people start a new life together in marriage. I love the rhythm of the Nuptial Mass…Knowing when to move and when to be completely still. And of course, knowing how to make the most of the light that comes through stained glass at midday.

I developed a creative, documentary approach from my early days as a photographer and I work in the background in such a way that you might forget that I'm even there capturing your memories.

I make two exceptions … the lovely, yet chaotic, crowd control of family photos and the calm stillness of couples’ portraits. Apart from that, you’ll find me in the background capturing the day as it unfolds.

Get in touch with me today to discuss how I can tell your story through photography.

“Joachim took the most wonderful and beautiful pictures of my wedding. I’m delighted we chose him for our wedding photographer, we could not have imagined better pictures. His work on the church among the lights and the smoke was truly remarkable. The pictures were full of colour, light and warmth. He captured all the perfect moments. I’ll always be grateful for how beautifully his work was on capturing our special day…”

From the procession to the recessional hymn. Each gallery tells the full story.

“Joachim did the photography for my wedding in June, and was absolutely fantastic! He captured the day beautifully and we’re so glad we’ve got these photos to remember it by. He was super helpful on the day, and had a real eye for capturing really beautiful candid photos of us and our guests...”

  • My background is in church weddings, and that's where my experience is deepest. If you're getting married in a church and want a photographer who truly understands the liturgy and the light, I'd love to hear from you.

  • Not at all, and honestly, flash rarely suits a church anyway. I shoot on a mirrorless camera with lenses built for low light, so I don't rely on flash. The available light inside a church. All the candles, stained glass, the light falling through the nave is some of the most beautiful light you'll ever photograph in.

  • I love capturing genuine moments between people. I want to create art from every wedding day I photograph, art that people will hang on their walls and show to their grandchildren with pride.

  • I have different options to cater for any Wedding Day. Just send me an email, or fill out the Contact Form above and I’ll send the prices, packages and all the details over to you straight away!

  • I have a very natural, unobtrusive and documentary approach to wedding days. Apart from group photos and couples’ portraits, you'll find me in the background capturing the day as it unfolds.

“…The photos turned out to be nothing short of spectacular! Each shot beautifully captured the emotions of the day, filled with light, perfect angles, and candid expressions…”
