Telling a Company's story through Photography.
What do you mean?
Good question.
It all boils down to this.
Every event reflects a company’s identity and how they are perceived.
No one wants their company to be perceived as low quality, cheap or having low standards, right?
That's where photography comes in.
Taking photos on a phone, no matter how good the phone is, will never live up to a professional grade camera (I shoot on a Nikon Mirrorless camera, to give you some perspective)
The control, the depth to the images and the ability to tell a story is just not there without a) the correct gear and b) the correct photographer.
You can have all the gear in the world with no idea, or all the idea and no gear. Both of them won't cut it.
How do you tell that story?
Another good question.
The way people interact, the setting, and the energy in the room all speak volumes.
A photo is all about the moment, and freezing it.
A good photographer can look at a room and understand how to make people relive that day through individual moments.
That's how you capture the essence of a company, showing professionalism or creativity in ways words often can’t.
Speeches, key note speakers, product launches, attendees mingling and having fun are all part of the larger scene that tells your company's story.
Is it worth it?
Does an image shot on a phone from the back of the room that shows everything cut it?
I don't think so.
Photography is an investment, but an essential one for companies who want their company to be perceived in the right way.
The photos are also just really useful.
Marketing, social media, prints, reports, banners, cards, the list goes on. A single event can provide visual content for months, going beyond just impacting the immediate attendees.
GOOD photos take people back to the moment and the experience to be had on the day.
